Professional Experience

 

1. World Bank and Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industries’ combined Project: The technical support was provided by WS/ATKINS ENVIRONMENT, UK based ISO certification organization

Designation: Local Assistant I worked in this project as a Local Assistant (LA) for one year from April 2000 to April 2001.

Duties and Responsibilities:

I was trained from WS/ATKINS ENVIRONMENT, UK on ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) for a year and also implemented the system into two industries (Kashem Brohter’s Associates and Surma Leather and Footware Industries Ltd) on the following issues:

 

 

2. Bangladesh Petroleum Exploration and Production Company Ltd (BAPEX)

Designation: Assistant Manager (Geophysics)

Duration: Two years (from October 2002 to November 2004)

Duties & Responsibilities:

I was working in Geophysical Division as an Assistant Manager in the following technical sections:

 

·         Geophysical Surveying (High Resolution Satellite Surveying: GPS, DGPS, RTK)

·         Seismic Data Acquisition (Drilling, Recording) section

·         Quality Control section

·         Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) section

·         Geophysical Data Interpretation

 

3. Part-Time Lecturer (16 months from July, 2003 to November 2004): Department of Environmental Science, Jahangirnagar University, Savar, Dhaka-1342.

 

Duties & Responsibilities: I delivered lectures on Foundations of Earth Science (1 Unit) and Environmental Earth Science & Soil Science (1 Unit).

Administrative Job: I am working as an Assistant House Tutor of a mail-student Hall named AFM Kamal Uddin Hall (which accommodates 400 students) since January 2005 in the same university.

 

Energy Sector Technology: I have completed a short course in 2004 (6 month duration) E-Learning based course titled on “An over view of energy sector technology” which was jointly lunched by University of Alberta, Canada and BUET, Bangladesh.

 

Professional membership: I am a general member of Bangladesh Geological Society (BGS no. 664), Bangladesh Paribesh Andolon (BAPA), Advisor of the Society of Environmental Science, Department of Environmental Science, Jahangirnagar University, Dhaka.
