PROFILE


SHORT BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Mohammed Enamullah (Parvez) was born in a village of West Syed Awolia, Dist. Bhola, Bangladesh. He obtained BSc (1987) and MSc (1989) degrees from Dept. of Chemistry, Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh. He received PhD (June 1994) under supervision of Prof. mult. Dr. Viktor Gutmann, Inst. Anal. & Appl. Chemistry, TU, Wien, Austria. Dr. Enam joined as a Faculty at Dept. of Chemistry, Jahangirnagar University in 1995 and became Professor in 2003.

Dr Enam did several Post-doctoral research at (a) TU, Wien, Austria; (b) Univ. Heidelberg, Germany; (c) Aoyama Gekuin University, Japan; (d) Tokyo Denki University, Japan; (e) University of Freiburg, Germany; (f) University of Dusseldorf, Germany; (g) York University, Toronto, Canada

Meanwhile, Dr. Enam served as a visiting Associate Professor at Dept. of Environmental Materials Chemistry, Tokyo Denki University, Japan (2004), and Dept. of Chemistry, Aoyama Gekuin University, Japan (2009). He has joined as CUPE 2 member (Contract Faculty) at Department of Chemistry, York University, Toronto, Canada since 2015.

At present, his group is engaged in collaborative research with (a) Prof. C. Janiak, University of Dusseldorf, Germany, and (b) Dr. G Pescitilli, University of Pisa, Italy.

Dr. Enam was awarded several scholarships including (i) Austrian Academic Exchange Service (OEAD), Austria, 1991-1994, 2001, 2006; (ii) Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (AvH) fellowship, Germany, 1989-1999, 2005, 2007, 2012; (iii) Matsumae International Foundation (MIF) fellowship, Tokyo, Japan, 2002, 2004; (iv) Jahangirnagar University Scholarship during BSc/MSc study.

Meanwhile, Dr. Enam has published 82 research articles in reputed professionals, and two of his best articles were appeared as FRONT COVER (HOT ARTICLE) in DALTON TRANSACTIONS (No. 19, P-3617, 2009) and in CrystalEngComm (Vol. 20, No. 33, 2018). For pioneer research in chemistry, he was awarded "Bangladesh University Grants Commission (UGC) Award" in 2011.

Dr. Enam is a life member of different professional organizations: (i) Bangladesh Chemical Society (BCS), (ii) Bangladesh Crystallographic Association (BCA), (iii) Canadian Society for Chemistry (CSC), (iv) TU-Alumni, Vienna, Austria, (v) German Universities Alumni Association in Bangladesh, (vi) Heidelberg University Alumni Association, (vii) Humboldt Association of Canada, (viii) Japan Universities Alumni Association in Bangladesh.
