PROFILE

SHORT BIOGRAPHY

Dr. A H M Saadat is a Professor in the Department of Environmental Sciences at the Jahangirnagar University where he has been a faculty member since 2003. He did his graduation and master’s in Physics at Jahangirnagar University and later he received his M.Phil degree on Environmental Sample Analysis using Ion Beam Materials Analysis from the same institute. Saadat completed his Ph.D. under Commonwealth Split-Site Scholarship in the UK from University of Birmingham and Jahangirnagar University.

He currently serves as the Coordinator of Professional Master’s program on Environmental Sciences and Management(WMES).

Saadat’s teaching interest include Environmental Modeling, Renewable Energies and Industrial Ecology, Meteorology and Climatic Process, Environmental Compliances, Fundamentals of Environmental Sciences and Global Sustainability.

His primary research interest is on Environmental Monitoring and Modeling of Environmental Systems, water resources, GIS and climate change. He has 35 peer reviewed research articles covering diverse environmental issues.
