Physics is the most fundamental of sciences. At its most basic, it is about explaining and predicting what happens in the physical universe.  This covers topics so vast they don’t get much bigger, such as how the universe has evolved into its present state, to topics of daily importance. Physicists want to know how things work.  If you have an enquiring mind, enjoy a bit of innovative thought, can think logically, aren’t afraid of some hard work and like to know what’s going on around you in nature, in science and in technology, then a physics degree could well suit you.

Physics graduates go forth into a huge range of jobs.  They become involved in meteorology, medical physics, environmental monitoring, astronomy, particle physics, geophysics, materials science, invention, design, teaching and even financial modelling.
