Special Need Education Center (SNEC)
ABOUT SNEC

In the developed countries, various modern specialized facilities are provided to overcome the shortcomings of the autistic children. In Bangladesh, a huge number of children (statistics not available yet) are affected by autism and few autistic schools with limited facilities have been established by the guardians of autistic children in the capital Dhaka and other cities. In these schools, learning and training methods are not sophisticated and advanced. Furthermore, trainers are not skilled adequately with latest IT facilities.
In the Jahangirnagar University campus and its surrounding areas, there are a number of children with autistic behavior. With a view to provide them with specialized care 'Special Needs Education Centre (SNEC)' has been established in October 2009 in conventional approach. It is the purpose of the project to enrich the centre with advanced IT facilities to promote the autistic children precisely.
