SHORT BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Mohammad Maksudur Rahman received Ph.D in Engineering from the Department of Electronic Engineering of Tohoku University, Japan in 2011. In the PhD work he developed nanostructure titanium (Ti) films and its composite counter electrode for dye-sensitized solar cells. He then worked as  Postdoctoral Fellow of the Research Institute of Electrical Communication (RIEC) of Tohoku University to develop silver (Ag) and platinum (Pt) nano particles by electrochemical deposition process for dye-sensitized solar cell application from 2011∼2012 and Postdoctoral Fellow of the Institute of Fluid Science (IFS) of Tohoku University to develop silicon quantum (QD) solar cell by using nano-bio fusion process from 2012∼2014. Successfully carrying out the postdoctoral researches Dr. Rahman then joined in Tohoku University as an Assistant Professor in 2014. In order to gather semiconductor industry knowledge and experience Dr. Rahman also worked as a Process Engineer of the Tokyo Electron (TEL), Japan (2015∼2019) which is a renowned semiconductor research industry of the world. Dr. Rahman worked on the semiconductor process engineering (intel process) with dry etching systems in the research and development division of Tokyo Electron.

Dr. M.M. Rahman received 40th IEEE PVSC Best Poster Award at Denver, USA in 2014 for his work on “Realization of Miniband Effect in Si Quantum Dot Solar Cell by Using Nano-bio Fusion Process”.
