PROFILE
SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Sharmin Zaman obtained her PhD degree from Department of Archaeology,Jahangirnagar University in 2025. Thesis Title-Pala Manuscript Paintings: A Quest for True Essence.Ms. Sharmin Zaman completed her MFA and BFA at the Department of Drawing and Painting, Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka in 2006 and 2004 respectively. She is currently working as a Professor at the Department of Fine Art (Discipline: Painting) of Jahangirnagar University. From December 2018 to December 2021, she served as the Chairman of the same department. Her research interests include Painting, History of Art and Art Material Techniques.
