A national seminar titled ‘Geoscience for Sustainable Development’ was held at the university’s Senate Hall from 10 am on Saturday (August 29). The seminar was jointly organized by the university’s Department of Geological Sciences (DGS), Bangladesh Geological Society (BGS) and Jahangirnagar University Geological Sciences Alumni Association (JUGSAA). Renowned geologists and researchers presented research on landforms, climate change, geo-hazards and disasters, water resources management and sustainable development in the seminar.
